History of Küre Vocational School
Kastamonu University Küre Vocational School has been established with a building which has a 450m2 available space on a plot of 842m2 with municipal ownership. The land of 11028m2 and 34996m2 sloping land will be expropriated and transferred to the Vocational School. Küre Vocational School has 1 director's room, 2 deputy director rooms, 2 heads of departments rooms, 9 lecturer rooms, 1 secretary room, 3 offices, 6 classrooms, 1 room which can be used as a laboratory and a cafeteria area.
Kastamonu University Küre Vocational School was opened with the assignment of founder director Asst.Prof. Ahmet ÖĞRETEN. In 19.10.2011, Programs of Logistics, Construction Equipment Operator, Occupational Health and Security, Medical and Aromatic Plants, Local Administrations, Pharmacy Services were accepted in the university senate and presented to the Counsil of Higher Education in Turkey (YÖK). With the decision of YÖK dated 30.11.2011 and No. 8265/51427 five program consist of Logistics, Construction Equipment Operator, Occupational Health and Security, Medical and Aromatic Plants, Local Administrations were accepted to open in Kastamonu University Küre Vocational School. Also, with the decision of YÖK dated 21.12.2011 the program of Pharmacy Services was accepted to open in Kastamonu University Küre Vocational School. The Vocational School has a dormitory with a capacity of 60 students and 30 of them for male and 30 of them for female. There were also private dormitory and hostels for students in the city centre.
